APLICAÇÃO DE FERRAMENTAS DE GESTÃO DA QUALIDADE PARA A REDUÇÃO DO TEMPO DE PRODUÇÃO DE UMA LUMINÁRIA INDUSTRIAL

Abstract

This study aims to apply quality tools to optimize the production process of a 50W High Bay LED luminaire in a medium-sized metallurgical company located in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil. Given the growing demand for operational efficiency in the industrial sector, the research is based on the use of well-established methods such as time analysis (chronoanalysis), brainstorming, Pareto Diagram, Ishikawa Diagram, and 5W2H, focusing on reducing manufacturing time. The study is characterized as a case study, with both qualitative and quantitative approaches, involving direct observation and data collection in the factory environment. The analysis focused on the stamping, bending, and painting stages of metallic components, with the heat sink being the main target for improvement. Through process mapping, bottleneck identification, and the implementation of corrective actions, the stamping time was reduced by 64.23%, and the production capacity increased from 258 to 361 units per day. The results confirm the effectiveness of quality tools in supporting decision-making and continuous improvement, highlighting their strategic potential for companies aiming for operational excellence and market competitiveness.
