PROJETO KAIZEN NA FABRICAÇÃO DE TORRE DE TRANSMISSÃO DE ENERGIA

Título: PROJETO KAIZEN NA FABRICAÇÃO DE TORRE DE TRANSMISSÃO DE ENERGIA
Autor(es): Renato Pereira Junior, Sebastião; Passos da Silva, Patricia
Resumo: The implementation of the Kaizen project in the stages of manufacturing, galvanizing, pre-assembly, and shipment of power transmission towers aims primarily to optimize the production process by minimizing waste and increasing operational efficiency, with a strong emphasis on continuous quality improvement and reduction of manufacturing time. This approach is applied through detailed workflow analysis, identification of bottlenecks, and the adoption of best practices, encompassing the processes of cutting, drilling, marking, bending, trimming, galvanizing, and pre-assembly, ensuring the correct assembly of the tower before shipment to the construction site. The results include a significant reduction in total manufacturing time, decreased rework and nonconformities, and increased customer satisfaction through faster deliveries and high-quality products.

Resumo: This study aims to apply quality tools to optimize the production process of a 50W High Bay LED luminaire in a medium-sized metallurgical company located in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil. Given the growing demand for operational efficiency in the industrial sector, the research is based on the use of well-established methods such as time analysis (chronoanalysis), brainstorming, Pareto Diagram, Ishikawa Diagram, and 5W2H, focusing on reducing manufacturing time. The study is characterized as a case study, with both qualitative and quantitative approaches, involving direct observation and data collection in the factory environment. The analysis focused on the stamping, bending, and painting stages of metallic components, with the heat sink being the main target for improvement. Through process mapping, bottleneck identification, and the implementation of corrective actions, the stamping time was reduced by 64.23%, and the production capacity increased from 258 to 361 units per day. The results confirm the effectiveness of quality tools in supporting decision-making and continuous improvement, highlighting their strategic potential for companies aiming for operational excellence and market competitiveness.
